Engineering perspective
The experience is an engineering decision too.
Launch, family, spinning, water and tower attractions, aligning the visitor experience with space, operations and infrastructure.
Target visitors and the attraction’s role in the park guide selection. Review footprint, envelope, access and site constraints for the selected model.
Passenger capacity alone does not establish hourly throughput. The operating cycle must account for boarding, checks, ride and unloading.
Project documents define foundations, utilities, controls, installation and acceptance. Applicable criteria are confirmed for the equipment and destination.

| Assessment | Area, height, speed, capacity and operating cycle |
| Configuration | Specific to the model and project |

System options and selection criteria
Swipe the table to view all criteria →
| Configuration | Application | Engineering criterion |
|---|---|---|
| Roller coasters | Families matched to audience and experience level | Compare layout, height, speed, trains, rider restrictions and maintenance access. |
| Rotating and swinging rides | Major mechanical attractions | Dynamic envelope, operating cycle and queue area all form part of the project footprint. |
| Vertical and elevated experiences | Park landmarks and thrill experiences | Coordinate operating wind limits, work at height and recovery procedures. |
Inputs that define your project
- Audience and operating objectives
- Site plan and constraints
- Construction window and opening
- Scope and available utilities
Interfaces to resolve
- Foundations and reactions
- Power and controls
- Queues, maintenance and evacuation
Project documentation
- Agreed design inputs and criteria
- Drawings and interface schedule
- Fabrication and inspection documents
- Installation, testing and handover plan
Availability, detail and responsibilities are defined in the technical agreement.
Engineering questions
Is the machine footprint the complete site area?
No. Add safety zones, queues, operations, maintenance and access areas according to the layout and system instructions.
How is attraction throughput assessed?
Distinguish seats per cycle from passengers per hour. Include boarding, checks, ride duration, unloading and actual occupancy; theoretical capacity is not an attendance forecast.
Further perspectives
A delivery starts with a well-defined scope.
The next step starts with your requirements.
Location, intended use, site conditions and scope. The right inputs make a focused technical discussion possible.
